A nice, tatty old leather bomber jacket (for partisan loadouts) and some Sten gun parts (mag housing and buttstock housing).

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Got my newly refurbed D-bale Helmet back from the specilist, this morning. Now it looks slightly worn scraped just like its spent a week in Normandy and includes the 506th Markings on the side.

Time to retire the SOF Helmet.

They are nice. You need to add the internal hook to most tunics for them to work correctly. Also make sure your chest eagle isnt sewn through to the liner or you cant fit the blessed things through the channel on the right breast on the tunic. Yup, had to resew mine.
They do take some work to 'balance' your kit if you have been used to Y straps, I dont like to use them on their own.
Nice touch though, for 'Dunkirk'?

Don't forget these were originally used to support the belt kit before the Y straps were universally issued, hence the reason that the M36 had the suspenders going over your shoulder and later tunics just had the sewn in tabs for the hooks. After the battle of france, many landser with M36 tunics would have ditched the belt hooks for use with combat gear because they're a pain in the ass when wearing Y straps as well :)
